If someone has some advice to help me improve the damn thing, I'd greatly appreciate it.Above: Apple VP Kevin Lynch talks about watchOS 5 and changes to the Siri watch face. Seems like their don't really assist much more than telling me how many miles it is to the North Pole or whatever other random questions people ask it.Īnd that ends my rant about my Google assistant. They're called "Assisstants" for Pete's sake. Make shit easier by using our voice instead of writing or typing. I say again these so called "assisstants" are utterly useless besides asking simple questions or doing some quick math. UGHH I'm honestly about ready to chuck this thing at the wall.

Plus it uses its own Google reminders instead of my phones default reminder app and I couldn't figure out where they went at first. You literally have to ask it to tell you your reminders and then it continues to list off every damn reminder you didn't delete. No, instead it just sounds an alarm, like it's a regular timer or alarm going off and then says nothing. So I would like it to alert me and then read back to me what I said my reminder was. I'm asking the thing to remind me at a certain time to do or remember something. The thing that pisses me off the most is setting a reminder using it. There have been other things I tried and was surprised and irritated when I once again hear, "sorry I can't do that yet". I mean that's basic shit right there, and it's incapable. I'm surprised you can't just tell it to remember some words or numbers for store it in its memory until I ask it to tell me later on. So I asked it to remember just the numbers and it would only do it if I added a time.

I needed to remember some measurements i made but didn't have a pen. Neither does stupid ass Bixby for Samsung. I asked it to do a search and then display the results on my phone. I swear there's honesty at least two or three Google apps that basically do the same thing.īut i've got a google home mini here on my desk and I can't do shit. I'll admit I haven't spent a lot of time going through the various google apps, so maybe it'll be better once I change some settings. More and more I am starting to agree with you. So one of the devices previously added to my Google Home was screwing up my music voice commands somehow. I even have one called Favourite Songs and another called Deep Focus (which already exists as a playlist by Apple), yet it still plays my version even stating playing "your playlist". Now I can launch my playlists without any problems whatsoever. Because of thus I uninstalled all devices in my Google Home (only 5) except for my Google Nest Minis in the bedroom. When testing tonight, I got an error back saying something about can’t play in living room, even though I was trying to play the music in my bedroom. Google Assistant now works and plays my own playlists. To get around this, I edited my playlist names and added the word "Personal" in front of them, thus differentiating my own playlists from the public ones Apple provides. It’s almost like when you say "Hey Google, play my playlist", it’s not recognizing the "my" in the command to search playlists in your library but rather searches Apple’s own playlists instead. Seems like I can play Apple Music’s own playlists via voice now but I can’t play my own custom playlists on Apple Music though. I mean I even tried using the Google Assistant app to visually see how it was interpreting my voice and it was way off base. Actually is anyone else having issues using commands in the last 24 hours because I was using it fine a couple of days ago but yesterday night and this morning, it’s horrible.
